Hughes & Kettner

I would like to know your opinions on the Hughes & Kettner amps(heads), since im looking into MAYBE getting one. I checked out most of their sound samples on their website and the tone kicks ass, specially the Switchblade.

I've played through the triamp and duotone heads and the puretone combo.

All of them are well designed, high quality amps. But for my tastes they seem to have a uniquely H&K sort of extended brightness to their voicing that I don't really like. This makes them very 'playable' amps, but I find myself tiring of the tone fairly quickly.
