Hum that sounds like a Hotrails?

Re: Hum that sounds like a Hotrails?

It's rumored that the the Invader is the closest thing to a HR. I have no personal experience with the Invader though.

Re: Hum that sounds like a Hotrails?

No problem. Just keep in mind that this is only hearsay on my part. :burnout:

Re: Hum that sounds like a Hotrails?

I've used both and I agree that they are the closest comparison. I think the Hotrails sounds better IMO though.

Re: Hum that sounds like a Hotrails?

the hotrails and invader sound very different, imo, there is no full sized hummy replacement for a hotrails

Re: Hum that sounds like a Hotrails?

c5 may be in that ballpark, invader would be closer tho.

they make adaptors to fit single coils in humbucker sized holes

Re: Hum that sounds like a Hotrails?

lol, this discussion again... indeed, the invader is similar in construction and sound, the hotrail has a tiny touch of the strat sizzle to it and the invader is a bit more.. how to say.. well, it doesnt have that strat sizzle and is a bit fatter maybe.. dont nkow exactly though

ANOTHER invader idea (apart of the replace the invaderpolepieces with regular ones) what if you would replace the big fuggly ones with two rails? (like the dimebucker) what would THAT sound like?

Brighter, I would think, especially if you were to go with a stainless steel rail.
