Humbuck single for a neck Jazz

I'm going to match my neck Jazz to a strat-like humbucking single-sized pickup if I can, and I've settled on either the Dimarzio Virtual 2 Bridge DP409 or the Seymour Duncan STK-S4. They are similar in spec, but while I've heard the Dimarzio sound sample, there is no sample for the SD and it's tough trying to find reviews for the STK-S4, although some people say they like it (but it's newer and still, few comments are found).

Has anyone tried these combinations before and what did you think? Jazz neck with STK-S4 or Dimarzio Virtual 2 bridge. If you did and didn't like it, please let me know what you preferred instead or how you fixed the sound without changing pickups.

It could be a magic mix!:friday:

Re: Humbuck single for a neck Jazz

Are you looking for a middle pickup, or do you have some kind of S/H guitar with a single in the bridge?

Re: Humbuck single for a neck Jazz

This is a total custom guitar I made, with only two pickups. Currently it has a full sized humbucker in mid/neck and a single coil space for a bridge pickup. I would prefer to keep the single size, but can clean out more wood for a humbucker bridge if necessary. The guitar will only have the two pickups, and I'm convinced the Jazz is the best option for neck.
