I just checked out the specs on that pup. 3 for the mids and 9 on the treble -5 on the bass. Sounds pretty interesting. I think I would dig the low output as well. I just have to have an OPEN sounding pup. -I can't stand compression when it comes to my playing. It's so hard to know with pups. THE ONLY way to know if it's what you want is to buy em and whip out the soldering iron. All the speculation is just something that we do to distract ourselves... Heh heh... Anyway, you know anybody that's got a Jazz trembucker they want to let go of?
I honestly don't know if they even make a Jazz Trembucker. Also, the pickup is not compressed. It's tight, but it's nice and open sounding.

Here's some stuff I did with the Jazz Model to give you an idea of how it sounds in Drop D.

You know, you seem to know EXACTLY what you want tonewise.....and what you want out of your pickup. Just throwing this out there, but if the hybrid doesn't do it for you it might be worth your while to check out the Custom shop. MJ could wind you a Fullshred to do exactly what you want it to!

Thanks alot for the encouragement VHT. And you know what, I think you're right. That's a great suggestion and the route I'm going to take if this hybrid doesn't work out. YAY!

you know what Jolly? I think you're right. I didn't see a Jazz Trembucker on the site. It'd have to be a custom shop thing then. We'll see how things go after I get this hybrid in the mail. If that doesn't work out, I'll have another chat with the SD guys and perhaps go the custom shop route. Anyway, thanks so much for your input and sick riffing by the way! Are those real drums are digital? Cuz, if you record them yourself you did a pretty good job. All you need now is some vocals my friend! YEE HAW!!! The guitars sound great...
