humbucker hybrid

has any one made a hybrid using one coil from a hot rail and one from a cool rail...
is there a video showing how this is done?

That is for a standard size humbucker.....looking for a single coil size zebra humbucker....

Provided its the old school style that has access to the innards, how is it different, other than the scale?

IIRC, those coils, and/or mags, are epoxied together. You'd stand a high risk of destroying either pickup in the process. On the other hand, I bet the Custom Shop would make one for you if you asked.

I too believe they are epoxy glued, and in the process you could mostly destroy them both.
