Humbucker in ash Charvel Fusion copy

I have a guitar. It is japanese Charvel Fusion copy. Like Charvel Fusion it has ash body (specifically it is japanese ash called sen, I read that it sounds like american ash, I also knows, that ash guitars Ibanez are from sen too), 24.75 scale, mapple/rosewood neck and floyd rose. To my ears, my ash body guitar has a lot of highs and not enough mids. It's bright guitar.

I want to find good humbucker in bridge. Not for brutal metal, just from Iron Maiden to Slayer.

What can you recommend me?

Lots of pickups will do this... Go for the standard Dimarzio Super Distortion but its one of dozens of candidates. My Jackson Fusion has a Duncan Custom in the bridge and a Rio Grande Muy Grande in the neck and it kills but its also a mahogany body.

Anything from Seymours?
SH-4 or SH-5?
I heard that SH-6 in ash is like powersaw bench - too lot of highs...

Yeah if your guitar has a ton of highs the screaming upper end of an SH6 might be a bit much

Both the SH4 and SH5 would be great. So would the C5 or the new Custom/59 hybrid. Thoug if you really wanted to tame the highs the SH8 might be the ticket too.

Let me ask you this.. what amp set up are you using? that will help me narrow down the suggestions some

I think SH8 is too hot for me.

I also read that Custom Custom SH-11 is good for ash, but I always thaught that Alnico II is not for metal.

Amp? I stick to what God will :D Usually it is DIY krankenstein or JCM 800 copy.

Air Zone. All the fatness and depth of the Tone Zone with better cleans and more flexibility. It will deliver the mids to that ash guitar for sure and sweeten the highs.
