Humbucker or Trembucker?

If I have a FR on the guitar, is it necessary to have a trembucker rather a standard humbucker?
And will there be any noticeable differences in tone if the strings don't quite match up with the poles?

I think I'm right in thinking that you only need a trembucker in the bridge.

Is there any other versions of the Floyd Rose (licensed or otherwise) that keep the string spacing the same as a fixed bridge.

Thank for your help,
Robert.

not in tone but only in output balance in terms of volume. the high E might not be heard that much compared to to the other strings. but this is only minimal, it also depends o you picking or plucking dynamics. if you pluck your e-string with your pinky it might be soft. you have to pluck harder than usual for that case. somthing like... well it depends on the player and the listener whether they notice that. i would notice that, but only in special occasions..

ur somewhat right, a normal humbucker would still work in a FR but an f-space imo would be better.

i dont thinks so. but if there is, that would really be rare.

go with a normal FR then put a trembucker on it; that i would suggest.

it does matter but I found you can get away with it. No one would be able to tell really unless you told them and they listened for it. Or your pickups were really low and someone had a fine ear.

I wouldn't do it though. If I have a tremolo bridge, I am getting a f-spaced pickup. Why mess with it?

On the other hand we all bend right? If you are using the neck pickup and do a full bend on the 15th fret and hit the string it is way off the pole isn't it?

Re: Humbucker or Trembucker?

If you have a trem equipped guitar definately get f spaced or trembucker. But even if you have a standard bridge guitar consider a trembucker. I just had one put into my guitar and the pole pieces lined up better with the strings than the standard spaced bucker did. The space between each E string measured 2.25"
