humbucker/single coil/humbucker RW/RP?

When using a single coil in the middle on a strat with a humbucker in the bridge & a humbucker in the neck do you use a RW/RP single coil or a standard one? Or does it make a difference

It does make a difference.

But whether you should do it or not depends upon what you want to accomplish with your switching.

Are you splitting your humbuckers? To which coils? Do you want humbucking in your single coil combined positions (switch pos #2 and #4)?

want to split the coils. the humbuckers are- full size SD Screamin Demon bridge - lil 59 neck. will be using SSL-2 in middle RW/RP.
What if I didn't split or just wanted to split the bridge? the SD diagrams do not show whether the middle is a RW/RP or not so I was not sure about the wiring
