humbucker wiring question

ok ive got an idea for the LP...

im going to get 500k DPDT pots to replace the 4 ones that it has. i was wondering how to wire my lp so i could get....

1) DPDT Pot to switch series/parallel wiring of PUPS
2)DPDT Pot to switch in and out of phase
3) DPDT Pot to switch neck p'up coil
4) DPDT Pot to switch bridge p'up coil

seems like it would work... and be non-invasive to the guitar. how would i wire this? i know how to wire for each separate thing, like i know how to wire one pot for coil splitting, but idk how to do it for all of these things. can it be done? help would be much appreciated...

Do you mean: run both humbuckers in series with each other, or, run an individual humbucker in parallel rather than series?

The first you can do, but probably won't sound too good. The second you can do, but only to one pickup with a single DPDT.

Edit: On second thought, I shouldn't say it won't sound good - I've never done it. Just seems like it would be real dark. ;)

Re: humbucker wiring question

yeah parallel instead of series. series to each other would probably sound bad. yeah i was thinking i could only do one of those options not all at the same time. so is it not possible to do all these 4 things at once?

so im thinking, i can do one p'up in parallel on one switch OR phase switching OR coil splitting, but i cant do both. is this correct?

Re: humbucker wiring question

You can almost do all four. You just couldn't do a humbucker split and series/parallel at the same time. So, if you used #1 on the neck, you could still combine it with the bridge split. And vice-versa. (And, it could be out-of-phase.)

Re: humbucker wiring question

ohh yeah i realize that. id mostly want to do only one of these things at a time. so how would i wire it to be able to do this?
