Humbuckers For Telecaster Suggestions

So I have two teles, one with vintage fender pups and on with twang kings. I now want to look at a duel humbucker tele. I have decided on a Paf Joe in the neck for a nice glassy, round lead tone with nice cleans. I love the Satch type tone but the fred/mojoe get such mixed reviews for the bridge.

Thinking maybe a super distortion or air zone in the bridge to cover rock/instrumental and Iron Maiden/ Priest level metal. I have RG's with more metal pups gravity storm/Crunch Lab etc. I just love teles and would like on to play heavier stuff and don't want it flabby or shrill in a tele bridge.

Fred and Joe were made for each other.
Or if you are wanting old school heavy rock a super distortion with either a super 2 in the neck or a PAF Joe would be pretty cool. Personally I think the latter as at least one of the pickups would have an ALNICO magnet and more organic voice, hence the first recommendation for Fred.

Very interesting post. I'm not at all discounting the vast knowledge of the SD forum members, even concerning other brands, but....

I have a question about a couple of SD pups. I think I'll go on the Dimarzio forum and ask them.

People here obviously use a lot of dimarzios and usually have good input. Didn't say I was closed to Duncan suggestions either.

Well, you sounded pretty determined to stay with DMZ pups..."I have decided on a Paf Joe...". And your only other comments ask for opinions on very specific DMZ pups not just generally about a tone.

I read this as you had already decided on the neck and it was between a few pickups for the bridge. I don't have any experience with those.
