Hybrid 59/JB - Question for Rid!

Hi everyone

I am asking this here because I know Rid i is around. May be it shoud be a question for the pickup longe. Anyway...

Do you think a hybrid 59/Jb will have good results? As I will be ussing two pickups I will have two hybrids so... It would be a good idea to place the hybrids in both places: neck and bridge? The resulting hybrid will have a DC of 12K so may be it would be too much for the neck...

Any sugesstions?

May be the neck one could be wired in parallel (~3K), I don't know...

Well I have tried a slugcoil from an old JB with the screwcoil from a 59n, that was quite ok, I would prefered it the otherway around, but the screwcoil from the JB was unfortunally dead.
But go ahead and see how it works
Nothing like experiments.

Right... I guess experimenting it is the only way. Have you ever tried an hybrid pickup in the neck spot? May be ussing the screw coil of the 59n and the slug coil of a higher DC coil it is possible to get good results.

That would sound like a hot neck pu, but will it have enough clarity??
