I can feel a good one coming on....

Re: I can feel a good one coming on....

They are showing now. Cool looking lil guitar. I have had it's cousin An Artist with binding and crown inlays but I do not recall the actual model number. Great guitars. Ibanez was the first brand I bought. Owned a few over the years.

Enjoy it LOUDLY!!! :headbang:

So it can't come home yet due to pawn shop laws but this is the 1977 Ibanez 2361BS I scored today, appears to be 100% original with its OHSC too.

Cool - is it a set neck or bolt-on? Can't tell from the pic.

Yeah, the Gibraltar bridge/tailpiece was designed for better coupling and easier stringing, and so you could take the strings off and all the stuff wouldn't fall off :P.

Re: I can feel a good one coming on....

Both the AR-50 and the LP are set neck.

I don't particularly care for the bolt neck Ibanez LPs, most of them have a totally different type of body construction. The 2651 is built like more or less like a Gibson or an Artist, the bolt neck 2351 is a multiply body and is chambered/semi hollow however you would call it. They're fun guitars but not my taste. I started out on a Royce LP which was essentially the same thing as the bolt neck Ibanez's except for the name on the headstock.

The store had the LP mismarked as a 2351, gotta love it. I went in to buy 2 500k pots hahaha!

Cool. Yeah, set neck stuff is solid. Afaik, it's got Super 70 pups.

Not an single cut person as such but always liked the look of the PF300 that came a bit later.

Pretty cool I finally found the old ad copy for the AR-50, they considered it a Jr line. I also owned an IC-50 but it was blue not black, it was before they went to the Iceman II so it had the 3x3 just like the ad.

Silly but fun stuff
