I come back to find out my deville was smoking.

Well I was at sundance film festival and lent my amp to my guitarist and he was playing with the band as Im arriving home from Utah..and my amp started smelling of smoke or burn..so they turned it off..

anyways..i have to get it checked out by an amp guy..

but my main question is..if im to change the tubes in that deville..

what would be some awesome tubes to sweeten the sound..

listen to my band..here and see what guitar sound we go for..

its basically line 6 - voodoolab sparkle drive - my hrd 2x12..

If it smelled like smoke, you need to have an amp tech look at it, because tubes don't smoke....components like resistors do. The last thing you want is to ruin a new set of tubes, if there's a circuit problem.

This scenario is also why I don't loan out my amps.
