Back before Xmas, I splurged and picked up a limited edition LTD James Hetfield "Snakebyte" baritone that showed up in the Guitar Center used section. I was thoroughly impressed with the guitar, but with a baby on the way, I was having trouble justifying the purchase, so I ended up returning it out of guilt.
Well, ever since then, I have wanted that guitar back. I've never been a huge fan of the "Snakebyte" shape, but that guitar was just SO cool!
I've been keeping a casual eye out for a deal on another one to pop up, but every one that has come up for sale in the past 6 months has been in the $2500-$3500 range, which seems ridiculous for a guitar that was only $1300 new less than 5 years ago (granted, they only produced 500 worldwide).
This week, a really nice looking one at a decent price came up on eBay from a shop in Japan. Sent them an offer to sweeten the deal a bit more and now it's on its way to me!
