I bet they sound like every other passive pickup. Nice score bro, I have never seen a Tokai with a ZW bullseye before. I bet it is better than an epiphone.

that looks really sweet..i can't tell the diff between the gibson and tokai besides the pups, headstock name, and the finished/unfinished neck.

I figured it looked pretty good for a cheapy, and I already have real EMG's for it. From what I hear, I think it will be equal to, or cooler than an Epi and on par with other Korean stuff like ESP's Ltd series and Schecter. This will be the one that sits in the corner next to my computer that I can just pick up and noodle with whenever I feel like it. All my other guitars are nicer and stored away in cases and I notice I don't play as much when I have to go digging them out.

lol i almost bid on that but ended up buying something else instead. when it gets to you and you take out the fake EMGs let me know if you want to sell them..i may have a use for the covers on them.

You'll have to give us a complete review of the Korean Tokai when you recieve it and have a chance to send it through the paces.

I've heard good things about the upper end Korean models. The quality is supposed to be getting closer to their Japan big brothers nowadays.
