Still, regardless of how good a guitar is (or isn't), what matters is how you feel playing it.

Sometimes a perfectly good axe doesn't form enough of a rapport with us to become a favorite.
In that situation, I'll often know after just a couple of hours at band volume that a certain guitar isn't for me.

IMO the Les Paul Custom Black Beauty is one of the sharpest guitars ever fabricated.

I don't know why either. But that one has to be a keeper. That's sharp. And gold hardware just looks right on a LP Custom. Maybe if the color was not black or white chrome would be better but here, gold is it.
