My dad replaced the screws with Velcro on his guitars, taking off the back cover was a cinch

I think these work well for mine that have 'em

ha! No lie that was my dad's concern lol I rarely use the tremolo and so far have not had any issues lol

my buddy was discussing this very thing the other day
I would be concerned about playing low
and grabbing some junk in my pocket
then making the high notes myself

My trem is always tightened down as far as it will go since I don't use it. This less me leave the cover off without having to worry about getting something caught in the mouse trap.

If your junk fits between the springs or can get between the block and the body, chances are you're soprano already.
