I have gotten it setup 3 times while I have had it. I wanted to have some guitar tech do it this time, but I didn't know of any in the area and I don't have money. I got drunk last night and figured that I wanted to try to intonate it. it was really off and sounded really horrible on the higher frets. I also put the new custom shop duncan early yesterday so I wanted my ibanez to sound good, and didnt with the previous intonation, it kinda looked like this:
E ]
B ]
G ]
D ]
A ]
E ]
I hope you get a feeling of what I am trying to illustrate with text. Well I fixed it after thinking about it really hard, and I did it. I am proud of myself, although I should have figured this out a long time ago. The floyd rose is also growing on me. I think I want another guitar with one! :smack:
I have been using the humbucker for a while this morning. It is a Trem spaced JB with a alnico 2 mag. Cream bobs with a chrome cover. I think the JB with 2 intead of the 5 help me achieve more mids, but also loosened the bass a bit. It sounds alot more "even" than the regular JB, although I still like that pickup too. I am pleased with the pickup so far, but I still need to play with it more. It sure does look cool having a floyd axe with a chrome bridge pickup. Thanks again SD and Crew for giving me the opportunity to make my own pup, for free! :smoker:
