I finally intonated my ibanez floyd bridge + UGD humbucker.

I have gotten it setup 3 times while I have had it. I wanted to have some guitar tech do it this time, but I didn't know of any in the area and I don't have money. I got drunk last night and figured that I wanted to try to intonate it. it was really off and sounded really horrible on the higher frets. I also put the new custom shop duncan early yesterday so I wanted my ibanez to sound good, and didnt with the previous intonation, it kinda looked like this:

I hope you get a feeling of what I am trying to illustrate with text. Well I fixed it after thinking about it really hard, and I did it. I am proud of myself, although I should have figured this out a long time ago. The floyd rose is also growing on me. I think I want another guitar with one! :smack:

I have been using the humbucker for a while this morning. It is a Trem spaced JB with a alnico 2 mag. Cream bobs with a chrome cover. I think the JB with 2 intead of the 5 help me achieve more mids, but also loosened the bass a bit. It sounds alot more "even" than the regular JB, although I still like that pickup too. I am pleased with the pickup so far, but I still need to play with it more. It sure does look cool having a floyd axe with a chrome bridge pickup. Ok, for some reason, i cant make the text style illustration of my floyd saddles on here, but trust me they were really ****ed up.

if you go to the thread link in the main thread page and hover your mouse over the thread title.....it will show his bridge saddles the way he wanted it to be........for some reason, inside the thread, they show up all level

If you haven't already, read my post on Rainmaker's Intonation thread in the Vault.
If you go back and fine tune the intonation, getting it 100%, your guitar will be a joy to play.
