I have a Full shred bridge, would you use Jazz or Alnico ii Pro in the neck?

I have used the Full shred neck already, I just want to try something different. This will be for a MIM Strat - so 22 frets - to play some hard rock and classic metal, most likely will be an HH configuration.

I know already the Full shred bridge is tight so I won't turn the lows down in the amp eq and if I ever will use an overdrive pedal I won't be dialing back the lows either (using my MXR M77 that allows the low go thru if needed, great suggestion from this forum). Also, I usually dial back the highs a bit in the amp for the Full shred to compensate a bit its bright sound. That sounds like a bad thing but it is really a great pickup with great articulation.

So I have the option to use either Jazz or Alnico ii Pro neck models. I already have used them in the past and I have my own ideas but never paired any of these with Full shred and I really want to hear your experenice.

Jazz, as the FS is a really bright pickup & this is keeping the tonal balance between bridge & neck about the same. If you want a neck pickup that is tonally way different (some people like that), the Alnico II is the same as a Jazz with a different magnet, so if you get one of them, you can just swap the magnet if it isn't what you want.

Not entirely apples to apples, but my Charvel Dinky (HH, 24 fret, Floyd bridge) came loaded with a FS in the bridge and Alnico 2 Pro with hex screws in the neck and that neck pickup really sings. Sound great split as well and matches the FS in the bridge real well too when they're both engaged.

Conversely, my Jackson Dinky (also HH, 24 fret, Floyd) came loaded with a JB in the Bridge and a Jazz in the neck. So far the Jazz is very meh. Not particularly interesting, neither clean nor dirty.

But as always, YMMV. I know a lot of guys seem to really enjoy the jazz.

Jazz is closer to to the SH-10n. It's just a mag swap anyway (from Jazz to A2P and vice versa).

Never owned a fullshred bridge, but the SH-12 demon is a great neck PU too and might be also a good pairing?
You can swap out the 2nd row for Hexes too for a more uniform look (and sound?)
