I recorded it today. I use my epi sg with stock emg81/85 into line 6 toneport GX. Feedback is appreciated. my new song I recorded is called Dream Rider, it is here: http://www.myspace.com/musicofron
Hmmm, the guitars were pretty cool, very agro sounding, I didn't like the vocals though, sorry.
Great guitar work.
I don't like the vocals either...![]()
I would make the best of a bad situation- put the vocals predominant in the mix and with some death metal distortion. Cool stuff, I'm diggin it.
rawkin mang
I just put a distortion pedal on the vocals
next recording I do Ill prolly just have a guitar note where the singing would be, until I get my vocals to where I think they are a bit better
what kind of mics, pre-amp, and mix are you useing? Im guessing some good gear and a better mix, and some more intensive vocals will work without any distortion.I don't think the actual voice is the problem, well... maybe the projection and energy. i listemned one more time and it would be tons better with better mic preamp/mic and most importantly a better mix. Maybe put more force into the vocals.I think your voclas have a lot of potential ,which is the best thing of all, cause I could ahve a seven thousand dollar mic preamp and a five thousand dollar ribbon mike and I'd still sound like a frog. That said, a good 1000.00-1500.00 tube mic preamp and a good 6-800 mic could make even a frog sound prety good mixed properly..especially with the new vocal processors.BELT out those vocals sometimes. Youve gpot a strong voice and a good voice.
Cool sounds bro! +1 on the vocals though.
I uploaded a new mix of my vocals. I figure in a year Ill have my vocals exactly where I want em, but right now they sound ok, but I want to improve em.
i almost got that same SG but instead went with the SG Custom Prophecy. same pickups and the guitar itself is more metal oriented with 24 frets and that sexy black burst on quilted maple finish
well its not like YOU have to sing! get jamming with some people and find out who has "the voice" and they can sing while playing
