Hello,
We just tested the SFX-03 twin tube classic™ during Saturdays pre show rehursals.
The two-channel's were very nice, I must say it's by far one of the best guitar preamps we have tried in some time, We loved the True bypass, and having 3 stages was a nice change! / 1-true clean / 2-slight gain /3- heavy gain.

We ordered two units, one for myself and one for ___________ ______!

i posted a review of the Twin Tube on a few other forums...
not gonna type all that again....LOL

suffice to say, i'm very impressed...
i was gonna buy the Vox Big Ben but like this better due to it's wide range of low gain on the rhythm channel....
i also own a Mesa V-Twin, but the Twin Tube is more transparent and has greater control over the amount of gain, especially for us low gain guys...

The SFX03 is one of the best tube OD's I have ever used...I love mine for sure!

Can they do pretty high gain stuff like Maiden/early Metallica type tones?

If you can't or won't say anything then don't say anything. Further more what guitarists of any stature orders one of anything for the road? I just played in a bar band and carried spares of everything.
