i need help picking an amp

ok i need your help i am looking to buy an amp and i wiant to spend under 800 dollars... the problem is i have so many sounds and every 5 min im changing to a new one

i play

simon and garfunkle (no distortion)
def leppard (light to heavy distortion)
skid row dio(heavy distortion)
pantera(off the chart distortion)

i have right now a randell rg 75 and to me it sounds to fake...i was thinking of trying out a tube amp (traynor ycv80 and attach some pedals to it.) give me some ideas...

i also want to get some pickups to match that sound i have a jackson dkmg and it has emg hz's so i need two humbucker suggestions

I think I would try out a VOX Valvetronix. You can get all them combinations along with a real super close tube sound.

I think the only prob you'd have with a valvetronix would be getting a super tight Pantera type sound. Though using a good OD pedal (TS-9, SOD, etc) as a goose (level up gain rolled back) may tighten up the TSL or Rectifier models suitably for such a need.

But I think for that kind of variety, in the price range you are looking for, your choices are very limited without going the modelling route ..which will be a compromise re: "fake" tones. A Tech21 Trademark 60/120 amp may be your best bet. Decent "tube-like" tone, and the MESA settings are more like the old MKIIC/MKIII than Rectifier...so you will be able to get a super tight high gain Pantera sound, vintage Fender cleans/bluesy, as well as vintage to modded marshall sounds.

As for pups...again, it will be a compromise of sorts...prolly a JB or Distortion bridge, and a Jazz neck would suit well.

Jazz/JB for your pups hands down in my book.

For you amp maybe the traynor or a crate V series? You can also pick up used voodoos pretty cheap.

AIIPn / JBb ... 5 way PRS style switch ...

for that kind of money, i'll throw out the idea of looking for used rack mount midi controllable gear ... a preamp w/ effects / power amp / cab / foot controller could approximate all that versatility ... works for me ...
