I need help

i installed this pearly gates and it gave feedback only when i touched the pickup. well i went to guitar center and the tech re soldered it for me and said i had too much solder on there. so i went to plug it in to test it and i got some MAJOR feedback only when i touch one spot on the pickup. the problem is that this is the spot where i rest my pinky while i play. i need help. is it the wiring? is this normal? is it a defective pickup (lol is there such a thing?)? how do i fix this issue????

I wouldn't call that feedback, for the sake of others knowing what you're talking about. That's hum. Your skin is just making contact with of of the coils. I've had this happen before. I wrapped over the tape they used with electrical tap and it was fixed.

edit: I guess the first video was pretty squealy, only saw the second to begin with sorry.

Fixed. Well pretty much fixed. Wrapped with some tape but pulled one of the wires on the pot off while pulling the pickup out. But that crazy noise is gone. Super happy now. Thanks again man for real.

if im not back in 5 minutes...........just wait longer. :-)
