I need some help with JB

I love the JB but recently I have wanted a bit "more" I would like a little thicker sound, a bit more "process" maybe better at harmonic ovetones.

Brand does not matter. The JB will go in my other guitar so i am not bailing

I want the singing mids. I am playing a fernandes revolver X (alder) through a modded jcm 800. So I want to stay 80's metal on this guitar

according to the tone chart it has a touch more midrange. Is this what everyone hears? I want a singing midrange

The DD definately sings. It also has a bigger, tighter bottom than the JB and has a bit more sizzle in the treble. It can do pretty much any metal tone and do it well.

Slap an Alnico 8 in that JB. It will give it more attitude for sure and retain the singing quality Im sure. There was a thread this past week on a JB with an alnico 8 magnet. Do a search and hear the sound samples, they were very impressive!

Here is the link:

Bridge JB/8 starts at 1:00, gets split then unsplit then goes to lead channel with volume rolled back mostly then volume rolled back more then full up.

Go to the JB 8 test for a guitar only demo. And the Santana one is a full song with both the neck C22 and the JB/8.

To hear this with distortion you need to go up to the 3 minute mark. I like the split sound very strat like.
