Just before Line 6 bought the XDS wireless company, the X2 units were being blown out, and I bought one. It's been great, but I'm pretty sure something is wrong with it. When holding a note recently, it has started to crackle and weaken unnaturally. I hope it's the cable, but I don't want to pay $47 to test it. The unit takes a 1/8" threaded TRS, and it becomes a mono 1/4" plugin into the guitar. Any source for these at a reasonable price?

Batteries?

Something new in the area that might be causing problems?

Is it the old style that still operates on the cell phone bandwidth?

Might be on the receiving end.

Check your local stores' smart-phone accessory aisle for a 1/8" TRS cable. Might need a 1/8"-to-1/4" adapter, which will most likely come only in TRS, but since it's only to activate the battery, it should be fine.
