I got me a Tiny Terror to plug into my 4X12 cabinet. (local music store had a 50% off sale, I couldn't resist) Wow! What a difference from my Marshall AVT50. I know tone is a matter of personal preference, but for me, an all tube amp is the way to go, now that I have one. I never realized how my Marshall hybrid masked the true sound of my Strat & Les Paul until now. It's like I have 2 totally new & better sounding guitars now!

I've heard the Tiny Terror will even sound better (hard to believe!) with upgraded tubes, What would you recommend? Thanks

Why that's a little Orange you got there Budweiser. It isn't even in full bloom. :)

Local store here had a "35%" off sale...I thought I'd try and snag a deal much like the one you got.

...unfortunately names like fender, peavy, epiphone, jackson, gibson, marshall, mesa, line 6, d'darrio, rogue, etc etc etc ... didn't qualify for the BIG STORE SALE.



I'll find my deal yet.

I had a Tiny Terror/PPC112. I exchanged it for a ESP Horizon FR II :naughty: I don't regret it.
When the amp was mine, I swapped the tubes for EH12ax7 and JJel84. It sounded much better after the tubes upgrade.
What I didn't like about the amp was the 'donkey' sound you get when you crank up the gain. It sounded very good in the beginning but after some time I got bored of that. It didn't work very well for fast heavy riffs and I couln't get to much control of the tone. Probably with the right pedals you might improve it.
Do not misunderstand me, it's a very interesting amp, but it needs an FX loop and definitely needs a proper equalizer (L/M/H).

Congrats! I love my TT and haven't even bothered to check what valves are in there 'coz although not as versatile as some, it does what I need very well! Enjoy.

I just bought an orange rockerverb 30 combo, and it sounds excellent

Orange makes some of my favorite amps right now...definitely a huge upgrade from your AVT...hahaha

Thanks for all the responses.

I love that little amp. Had some jamming buddies over the other day & I could tell they really approved of my purchase. They called me a F*#!'n Muth#*-F#!*er. LOL! One owns a Marshall JCM800 & the other a Fender Twin. ...& they were jealous of my tone. I did something right for once. Got $350 for my AVT to boot!

Nice purchase. I was looking at an Orange TT before I bought my Marshal TSL601. Something tells me I should have gone with the TT.
God there are so many purchases I have lined up for the future.
