Its a adamas and that guitar is sort of what gibson is to epiphone as far as it being connected to ovation, they sound awesome and way better then any ovation

My sisters guitar teacher does alot of similar stuff, percussive use of his guitar while playing, i saw him playing once and was amazed, taping on different parts of his guitar with different ways to make different percussive noises while playing a melody, very cool.
