I wish there was a magic bullet

Gudday all. Just got a new guitar and I wish there was some pickup out there that would just make me be like "Oh, YEAH" that I could put in it, lol.

Anyone wants to help out with suggestions:
Mahogany with 3/4inch maple top
Set 24fret maple neck with maple fretboard
Floyd.

Currently it has a couple of generic Alnico V pickups in it and they sound alright, especially the neck when clean (actually, it's pretty good clean with both PUs on). I'd like to get a P-Rails in the neck but I dunno about the bridge.

It's generally going to be used for harder rock, but I'd also like it it be pretty versatile - nice non-woolly cleans (neck mainly) but raunchy dirt (bridge).

I have a JB in my alder floyded Kramer, and that is pretty much perfect. I seem to see a lot of similar mahogany/maple J-Custom ibanezes with the Tonezone/AirNorton combo.. but hey... *shrug* I dunno. Pretty hard to go wrong with a SuperD though.

Ideas?

Hmmm. With that much maple, the mahogany isn't going to do much for the tone, except maybe make it sound a tad darker than an all-maple guitar.

A JB will probably be way harsh with all that maple. Try a Custom, CC, or 59 in the bridge. The neck P-Rail might work. I've got one in a mahogany/mahogany/ebony/24 fret/neckthrough SG-type and it's darker than the 59s or a Custom in the neck of a similar axe, so I'm thinking it will tame the highs of all that maple.

P-Rail or Pearly Gates in the neck sounds like a pretty good idea. I would consider a Custom in the bridge with a A8 mag in it.
