Need some help with new pickups for the Ibanez. It is sapele -body guitar with set-in sapele neck. The guitar is full-mid sounding in my years. I have tried different options from Bare Knuckle - Black Hawk (ceramic), Holy Divers, Silos, but all of them give more to the mids and the sound is not balanced.
Could you recommend some mid-scooped set from the SD range, that will balance the tone from the guitar. I have some experience with JB/Jazz and Nazgul/Sentient, but not a good fit also.
Once I had ESP with Custom 5 that was really screamy in that guitar (not in a good way, it was alder body) and with lot of hights in my ears.
Not after really hot and extremely high output pickups, just something to make me want to play this guitar.
