Ibanez HH wiring....

If you have pickups with 4 wires like ES pointed out and you get a superswitch like the one in your diagram we can help you with the wire colors and any other trouble shooting.

The switch you posted is a bit trickier, it’s the original from Ibanez and it’s not standard.

There’s a wealth of info on it here:

For you or anyone who may venture to make a diagram for the positions you want.

That is what I understand are the connection I need to make the pups work as I want.
I’ll try yo find out if I can do it trough my ibanez switch.
One thing I can’t understand is if I can keep the greens soldered to the ground all the time or if I got to get switched out them too when I use POS 2&3.
In case would be much more simpler using South Neck Coil in POS 2 and the whole humbuckers mix in POS3, resulting in: [TABLE="class: MsoTableGrid"]

Seen the complication of the wiring job, for me the simplest would be the best. One thing I want is to have one POS for a single coil on the neck.

Yes. I think the complexity is that the switch is not super common so it’s hard to translate it or even know what’s possible.

If you want to keep the switch and are a bit flexible with the wiring, check out this

It’s from this video: https://youtu.be/W08wTuX_ny4

I guess it’s the standard way to wire the guitar you have and a 7321, which looks pretty straightforward.

You have the neck in parallel instead of single coil though but you do have the inside coils.

Yes....

That's the standard RG HH wiring.
It's ok but I'd like something more classic sounding.
Now I got a 3 way switch which I am gonna wire in a classic neck-neck+bridge-bridge way just to stop wondering and play my new great pups :)

Then I'll get and add a tap toggle to tap the pups as I want and it's done on the RG420HPFM, very similar to my RG420FB

Thanks!

YMMV, but I usually find low output 'buckers don't sound all that great when split. I actually wired my Epi Dot up with coil splits and then ripped it all out because I didn't like the split positions - very weak and too bright.

It depends on the wind, really. I dig the APH-1 split. Brighter pickups don't sound good to me split.
