I've got a seven year old girl who's trying to play the 'grownups' guitars. Curious if anyone has firsthand knowledge about hese little Ibby's. Are they playable instruments or total pieces of junk? Haven't seen one locally to try out so I would be buying online. Thanks in advance.........Rick

I should have checked those out when I had the chance. They looked like they were the Ibanez answer to the Squier Mini. (I used to have one of those. It was nice -- plywood body, but the neck was well proportioned and very playable. One thing I had to do, because of the short scale, was to use 11's so that I could get something like a normal string tension.)

So if the Ibby is anything like the Squier, I'd say go for it. If you have return privileges, you're safe.

They're cool. Pretty comfortable to play and the price isn't bad. I've seen some go dirt cheap used.

I've been thinking about getting my 6-year-old daughter one too.
