ibanez RG switch

Where can I buy a good 5 way switch for an old Ibanez RG? Does the Fender sizes work? Thanks

Which circuit does your Ibanez have? Some require one of the OTAX 24-contact Superswitches to get the pickup coil permutations.

The Otax switch is a four pole super switch
Just like the fender

My RG2 took a super switch just fine
The throw of the switch was wider than the stock ibanez
So you will have to extend the slot
The screws matched perfectly

If you go from the Jem or otax switch to the super switch you'll have to translate it

The Otax has two vertical rows on either side
For the poles
The super switch has two horizontal rows

my guitar is older, 1997 low end RG220B with edge term

YM-50 = five way.

YM-30 = three way.

The same nomenclature has been used in the past on an MIJ CRL-derived design. (The one with the poles on the "wrong" sides, compared to an American switch.)
