Hails guys
Holy crap.. i thought this guitar is Worse than what i expected.
it has an awesome neck grip speed and confort. good body, not too much Thin, and Not heavy at all... The exact weight .
I loved this. the frets are ok, the guitar is NEW. except from some dings on the BOdy, but no major ones.
Now the bridge : it is better than what i´ve expected. i didn´t use it too much, and it detuned a little... not that much i expected.
and the pickups.. Hummmmmmm, the bridge one has tigh bass , medium middles and acid, dry, moderated and Overal highs/sound . the middle one alone is more or less.. a fake WARM/HOT feeling in, but combined with the other pickups, sound like ****.
no output level enough at all.
and the neck one... pretty LACK os sustain . disliked it completely. not enough bass at all, not enough mids, and not enough Highs. no sustaiun and a dry sound. medium output too.
it will need SERIOUS PICKUP SWAP
ahahahahahah
****.
MORE $$$$ That i have to spent on
****
****ING HAILS FELLOWS
i´ll talk more about the pickups and the bridge later
i´ll PLAY with the polepieces. but i´m pretty sure it will not worth
Q:p

Re: Ibanez Rg450 Ltd Japan. Arrived! Review

Any Pup recomendations are apreciate.
i´m thinking dimarzios . the ones that i supposed to install on the FENDER.
Q:/
or maybe the super distortion i´m trying to buy from Rush Of Blood.

Re: Ibanez Rg450 Ltd Japan. Arrived! Review

Go with a Duncan Distortion or Invader. Both sound killer in baswood Ibanez guitars.

Re: Ibanez Rg450 Ltd Japan. Arrived! Review

i have a clip Here
Pure FUzzy/harsh/Shril/DRY Sound without sustain at All
i played a little with the polepiecies adjustments and it gets a little better. i said, A LITTLE.
i have a dimarzio question...
should i get a dimarzio with not so pronounced HIGHS? thinking that when i install them on this ibanez the wood will compensate the highs? or all this harshness and fuzzyness and dryness are solely from those crap Pups?!

I think it is the pickups, my Ibanez sounded pretty awful intil I changed pickups.

Hails man, i´m planning to put the same dimarzio combo on mine.. but i can´t find a used Super 2. Q:/

Re: Ibanez Rg450 Ltd Japan. Arrived! Review

You may wanna consider using Breeds, if you want DiMarzio ...
I have em in my Jem, and I love 'em!!

Re: Ibanez Rg450 Ltd Japan. Arrived! Review

I can recommend the "AirNorton + Steve's Special" duo - that's the one Petrucci uses (at least used in his Ibanez). It has great humbucker sounds and the outer coil from each pup in series sounds really beautiful. The give you a very clear sound...
(I currently changed the set 'cause I play the LP more and that needed a good neck. As soon as the replacement arrives, I'll have the other dmz set back alive;))

i still prefer Duncans in Ibanez. my latest acquisition is the RG321MH (pictured above), with the Duncan Distortion (N) & Custom (B).

Re: Ibanez Rg450 Ltd Japan. Arrived! Review

Thank´s for the Options Guys
the steve´s special i didn[t like
it has the scooped middles . Q:(
And the duncan distortion.. i´m not sure because it has A LOT OF OUTPUT
hahahahahahaahahahah
i want a well balanced pickup, with moderated/high output. no lack of highs, no lack of mids, no lack of bass.
Q:P and a SOLID/TIGHT Ammount of bass of course.

Re: Ibanez Rg450 Ltd Japan. Arrived! Review

congrats bro! knowing you, i should have said livewire metal buckers. but i will politely request you to check out the custom and jazz combo. it sure kicks some goat's ass for metal and yet versatile enough for other stuff.

Re: Ibanez Rg450 Ltd Japan. Arrived! Review

i see that you've mellowed down- kinda...

then consider the Alnico II Pro (n) + Custom Custom (b) which i have in my Ibanez SZ- a very well-balanced tone, even sound impressive under lots fo gain, without being high output

Re: Ibanez Rg450 Ltd Japan. Arrived! Review

i can see your name changing to

WITH NO DISTORTION, A TOUCH OF REVERB AND THE NECK PUP WITH THE TONE POT ROLLED BACK

:laugh2:

Re: Ibanez Rg450 Ltd Japan. Arrived! Review

Yah, thank´s both of you, Dani and bloodswords and also to JB FROM HELL(HEAVEN AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA) and Twillight .... here´s the answers
Twillight, i´m affraid the Breeds has to much middles and bass and not enough highs!?! Can you Clear this to me?
Dani.. Humm, wel, i heard the Duncan Custom and i´m not sure about that, because it seem not HOT enough . iguess, i mean, not hot enough like the custom custom.
Dani, ahahah i want a passive one with this guitar, since, in a Near future i´ll try to get a 5150 head and emulate Carcass Tone. BUT NOT NOW, eheheheh so, i want to keep passive on that Ibanez.
BloodSwords, ahahahah that is the best mayhem song on wolf´s lair abyss.
well, i thought a Full shred neck and a Maybe a JB with ceramic Bridge.
but really don´t know... Alnico II pro has those scooped or reduced middles? it has Almost the same eq as the 59, Q:/ that i don´t like too much exactly for the scooped middles REASON. and... a custom custom bridge is OK, BUT... i´m wanting a More Focused and a completely TIGHT bass. i guess i´ll have to think more on this.. can you clear things to me here?
or throw in some soundclips of your personal combos with FULL DISTORTION?
i can only see Dimarzios in my search, because of the tight bass(required essentially for the bridge, not so tight, but not flabby bass to), moderated/high output, HOTNESS(super distortion, paf pro, Fred) and NOT scooped middles. a good Dose of Highs(not too much to not Turn thing into HARSH/FUZZY/Shrill highs sounds) and grinding hot Middles like custom custom,
Hails and thank´s for the help and sorry for my Excuse for my demand/excuse for my exotic taste in pickups....
but this is due to i´m never worked with Bass body. and i´m still figuring out how is it´s Bass/middles/highs and overal Output Volume
if you can help me with that, i´ll appreciate. i know two things about Basswood.
1 - it matches VERY well with high output pickups
2 - it has good or a lot of Middles in it´s sound. How about the highs and the bass? and the Output of it?

AHahAHAhaHAhaHAahAhaHAhaHAhaHAhaHAha
NO f§cking way... WAIT... it can be possible... if i find a distortion with ENOUGH sustain and volume... cause always when i reduce the distortion on my metalzone, sustains are reduced Equally. and i totally dislike that.
but i guess it has to something to do with your fingers. so, i realize that i am not a man that has SUSTAIN in my fingers, ahahah as the example, guys from NECROPHAGIST has.

yes, i´m changing a little, but not expect TOTAL fagness and homossexual tone from me. ahahahahahahahaah
now it´s time to LAUGH YOUR ASSES ALL from me... i´ll say something strange. i authorize you to laugh from me .. here comes the fiesta :
I´m ALSO searching for a POSSIBLE MIDDLE pickup, HAhaHAhaHA AHahAHAHahaHAHAHAHAhaAHahAHahAHaHAhaHAHAAHAHahahahahahahaha
i want a middle pickup to match with the neck and bridge.
i want a Crunchy,Hot, Warm, creamy(think a Custom custom Single coil sized humbucker. that´s exactly it) E.Q. : Bass - 3 or 4, Mids 8, Highs 9.

Any opinions on that Guys?!!!?
Hails

Ah... i also think in a Jazz Neck for the Ibanez, but not a clue about the bridge. and i´m still undecided if the neck has enugh bass (not too much) to keep the things nice , clear and smooth in the neck. not being Thin and not being Harsh.
Q:P Maybe a custom custom B should do the trick in the neck
anyone ~?!
