Ibanez stock V7/v8 pickups

Does anyone know how to measure output with one of those meter things (noob here sorry) that also happens to own a stock RG?

It's something I've never been able to find information on. I want to upgrade these pickups in the near future but it'd be nice to have a frame of reference for knowing what to put in there. I haven't tried a wide range (of brands or types) so have no idea where they fit in.

I saw an add for them recently where it said 8k.. but I've seen others say that they are really hot and that it slams the preamp making noobs in the guitar store think that they are good. *shrug*

I don't mind them but it's probably because I've learned to EQ thier weaknesses. I know I can expect a big improvement with SD's. But knowing the output would help me alot.

Guitar volume and tone controls at maximum.
Selector switch to one pickup.
Resistance meter hot probe on the selector switch terminal for that pickup
Resistance meter Ground probe to a grounding point on the guitar (e. g. Pot chassis.)

Repeat for each individual pickup via its terminal on the selector switch. (Shift the selector to the appropriate position each time.)

Ye olde 2006 Ibanez catalogue states;
V7 (Vintage 7) Neck Ceramic "Tight but bright. Very dynamic for chording and rhythm.
V8 (Vintage 8) Bridge Alnico "Warm yet articulate lead pickup with enhanced overtones. Good harmonics without excessive brightness."

No DC resistance or Inductance figures mentioned.

V7 is Ceramic
V8 is Alnico (5 I believe)

hang on I can check mine

V7 = 9.54k
V8 = 15.45k

Do you think there would be a difference in the output or is it just visual differences?

Cheers for those readings.. those numbers seem to make alot more sense then 8k, that was confusing me quite a bit.

The outputs to actuators allows to cause something happen in a particular and formatted process. These may share the AC/DC converter using a technique called Multiplexing. Both of the v7/v8 provides multiple outputs and sure that they are very effective.

Look at the sig links.... smells an awful lot like spam to me... The awful engrish points to this too... something wonky here
