Ibanez SZ/PRSesk and Phat Cats?

Anyone tried Phat Cats in an Ibanez SZ or other PRS -esk guitar?

I play rock, blues, folk, fiddle a bit with jazz. ATM I have SD 59B and JazzN and it sounds good, but I keep going back to Phat Cat youtube demos and thinking that's more like the sound I want, less compressed, more open, better growl, more like the lollar singles on my strat but bigger

The P-90 half of the P-rails will have more growl than the Phat Cat, but still be plenty open. The Phat Cats are cool, but unless you want a really low output response, I think the P-Rails nails the "P-90" thing a bit better overall, plus you can incorporate the blade coil for additional tones.

If your 59B has 4-conductor wiring, you could also try running it in parallel. Also a great pickup for mag-swapping (A2 or UOA5 would be top choices)

So the P90 side of the prails has a higher output than the phat cat?
