I was recommended here to get some info on your companies pickups, so I can make an intelligent purchase. I stated clearly what I have and what direction I am looking in. I didnt say "Duh, I wanna sound like Godsmack with my crap epiphone" 30 people read my post and one replies! Thanks alot! I guess this is another one of those damn "clique" type forums. A bunch of windbags that get together on a sunday night and pick a little geetar. Ill go find some real musicians. And thanks to Benji for his answer, much appreciatted. :fing25:

I think you may be over reacting a little bit. Your original thread started this afternoon. Sometimes it takes a while for the people who know the sound you are looking for to see your thread. What you will typically find here is people posting because the have knowledge, not just posting to post. We're not going to recommend pickups that we don't have experience with. I often see threads on other forums sit for several days with only 1 reply, you won't find that often here. I also see threads at other forums with bull**** replys telling you to get EMG active pickups for that "classic rock" tone. I'm sure that's not what you want.

Also, this forum is the farthest from a "clique" type forum as you will find on the net. I challenge you to find a nicer set of people anywhere. Just chill a little and people will get to you on your post.

I really am on here 24/7
I go to work at 5 get off at 1, stay up till God knows when on the forum. Kinda pathetic if you ask me.

Dude, It's the weekend we all have lives that include other things than this forum. Give it some time and you will get some good advice. This is a GREAT place for info and support, so don't knock it untill you give it a chance.

btw, i post threads threads that gets lots of views but few replies..do i get anal about it? no, because i know that people tend to post in things that interest them and i respect that..people have their own lives you know..also, when people miss your thread, bump it up when its down to the last page or so, instead of flaring up.

one time i posted a clip and nobody even listened to it.......maybe im not in the clique :rolleyes: ...........but i didnt yell at people........sure itll make you feel bad when it happens.................get use to it.

Custom 5 bridge/59neck. Who cares what kind of music you play, it'll sound great.
Just buy it, and post a "Gearjoneser's Full of Sh!t" thread, if you hate them. Ha Ha.

Welcome to the forum SheDoesntDoIt4Me. Trust me, once you get to know everyone they're all very cool. Maybe a tiny bit clique, but that's because we all like SD pickups :)

Anyway, Gearjoneser recommended the C5/59 combo, and I'd say yup to that. Try a Custom tho - it has a bit bite and mid cut thru, and can sound heavy as a baby's undies with the right amp.
