So I jumped on CL this morning to see if a mexi strat was still listed, and I see this. Always being a big fan of 80's Kramers, it really caught my attention. Anyone know what model it is? Could it be a Beretta? Weren't The headstocks on those banana only? The guys is asking $200.

Re: ID this Kramer?

The headstock and non-locking trem suggest one of their lower end imports. It might have cost under $200.00 when new.

Aerostar ZX10...$100.00 or less if you really want it. Very low end model. You can snag a Focus on eBay for $265 and up in good shape with a body that is made of actual wood (multi-piece) and with an Original Floyd on it.

Re: ID this Kramer?

that was a starter guitar for Kramer. I think it was a Focus. They used to sell new for around $300. They have nice feeling necks on them but they are just a basic starter. I think for $300 they are better then some other companies entry level guitars by far but still they are a starter model. fun to play but don't take it too serious.

Re: ID this Kramer?

Almost positive this is a Kramer AeroStar... Worth about $250 new in 1990. I have one still in action :-)
Well it's neck, bridge and pickup have been replaced, and it is sporting a new paint job now... But that's where it started

Re: ID this Kramer?

Can't tell if the logo reads "American" or "AeroStar", so I'm going to assume from the v-trem and Beretta layout that it's an Aero, as others have said, and a POS to be sure. This looks like the low-rent EVH 5150 starter model that was of inconsistent quality from output jack to the logo. Avoid unless you intend to do the world a favor and burn it.
