So I know that magnet material and amount of magnetic material can make a difference in the clarity/output/mids and lows. For instance a P90 has 2 magnets on the botom plate which increases the mids and gives it a more honky character, Has anyone ever added a par magnet to the bottom of their tele bridge (without a baseplate of course) to add a magnetic boost effect? Im talking particularly about a Quarter Pounder Bridge for Tele. What if I put either an Alnico 5 or Ceramic humbucker bar on the bottom of the pole mags?
Has anyone ever tried this or can someone speculate on the outcome tonally? Or would it work @ all? Should the magnet be placed on the poles attracting or repelling?
