Had to do it...

Picked up an Ibanez Jet King with the hopes of gutting it and making a project of it. First thing I wanted to do is drop some new humbuckers in it. Anybody messed around with a Jet King?

My girlfriend chewed me out. Just when I finally narrowed my collection down... I go out and but the Jet King and a new Martin acoustic... I'm sure you guys understand. The price was right (100 bucks never been played) and I couldn't sleep if I passed it up...

If I was whipped... I wouldn't have two new guitars...


She doesn't understand... Just like I don't understand why she needs 300 pairs of shoes...

But don't ever let her hear you talk like that. I made that mistake once and got a 5 minute discertaion on how owning shoes is SOOOOOOOO much different than owning guitars. Trust me, it's not worth going there. :smack:

Anyhoo.... what are you looking to drop into the Jet King?

I was thinking maybe JB's or Pearly Gates... I was looking for thoughts and suggestions... This thing is wired all crazy (For lack of a better technical term) and it actually sounds pretty cool for a stock guitar... I just wanted to play around a bit...
