Ive been runnin down my bread and butter chops...zeppelin solos for my basic grip/technique/style/licks....workin on kid charlemagne, done with all teh comping and fills, 3/4 done on the solo...havent played for about 3 months and im back!
I got my DRRI with a computer fan mounted about a cm away from the baffle blowing air out over the power transformer, g12h30 celestion speaker, just got my hands on 2 genuine NOS blackplate RCA 12AX7's and they're going in!
Anybody use these?
And I'm getting GAS for my old school setup, and my currently incapacitated 1963 blonde fender bandmaster....im thinkin of making a 2x12 cab using the old jensen c12k that was in teh DRRI, and the G12H30 and using that for my bandmaster while getting a weber reconed JBL d120f...i simply love those speakers. I've only run this rig in stereo once before and it was amazing, 40 watts of fender 6L6 thru JBL d130f, and DRRI using strat w/ surfers > spina TS9>analogman compressor....I'm so pumped to jam again!!!
