I'm looking for a source for solder eyelets...

glassman

Electron Herder
Like the ones that Fender used on thier point to point boards...but longer. Approximately 1/8" inside diameter and 1/4" long (for a 3/16" phenolic board). I'm deliberately staying away from turrets; I like the looks and utility of eyelets and my layouts and prototypes were made with eyelets. My original source has dried up. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Have you tried Mouser and/or Digikey?

If you can't get it from one of those two outlets it probably doesn't exist...

Mouser was my old source and doesn't have what I need BUT...Digikey DOES! Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it! I couldn't find them during my initial search because they term them as rivets.

Edit...this was post # sigma sigma sigma...kinda spooky,eh?

You could contact them and see what the length is or if they have longer.

Hoffman's stuff is too short and it appears he is getting them from Digikey; they have the size I need. I was reluctant to source from Hoffman since I may end up making replacement boards for popular amps and the folks at Hoffman may take issue with that if they are supplying me. Thanks for the info though!

I'm glad to hear that Digikey has some ... I'll have to check that out.

I ordered some eyelets recently from turretboards.com. FYI, I got my board material from McMaster Carr.

My other source for electronic bits and usually the first place I try is Lashen's. They're about 10 minutes from my door which is impossibly convenient!
