Im looking for two balanced/versatile humbuckers for my Strat??

Im going to convert my standard (SSS) strat to an HH stratocaster.
Im looking to put in two seymour duncan humbucker pickups.
I mainly play jazz and rock. And I plan to have a 3 way switch.

What are some humbucker combos that have similar output as the Gibson 490s?
What combos have a balanced tone that split well? What combos compliment the tone for both rock and jazz?

Any advice will be much appreciated! Cheers!

Have you considered the '59/Custom-5 combo? It can do anything from rock to jazz, but it is a rather scooped combo, if that affects your preference.

If you like nice chewy A2 character I'd recommend a Alnico II or Seth Lover neck and Custom Custom bridge. The Seth/CC combo has an eq that's almost completely inverted from the 59/C5. Both pickups have rounded highs, strong mids, and rather loose bass. The A2 Pro is darker than the Seth, and is Slash's signature pickup.

Then there's the Jazz/JB...

I'll let someone else explain that. It's a very polarizing set.

I have a Fralin High Output/Pure PAF set in my Strat I love. I have them on a 5-way switch wired B - B split - both - N split - N and a push-pull phase. Probably one of my most versatile guitars.

This is the High Output straight into a Marshall JCM 2000, sorry I don't have a clip of the Pure PAF.
