The title is Hyperbole and about tube amps (Fender 400 aside) -so spare me your Solid State 1000 Watt comments :lmao:
I bought the Kramer/Travis Bean Bass a few days ago for tracking some stuff on a new record, but my GK head is a one tone/trick pony so naturally I took this shortfall in functional need to purchase a new amp yesterday.
The Sunn 300T - a 300 Watt 6 6550 tube bohemoth that is very similar to an Ampeg SVT except it has 2 mixable channels (clean and dirty) and onboard compression limiting. Effects loop, channel switching with pedal, multi control foot switching, 10 band Graphic EQ with semi parametric preamp EQ dials too, direct un and balanced out, tuner out, speaker emulation out, low-noise differential effects loop for signal processing.
These amps are very reliable if you service the surface mount solder point joint semi annually. the vibration of 300 Watts tends to create some cold solder issues over time
It' giant, it's ungodly heavy, it's legendary, and it sounds amazing.

Maybe I'll do some sound clips . -It's pretty much the most versatile tonally speaking bass amp ever made.
It will never roll out of my studio -thats a fact...
