In need of an articulate humbucker for bridge

Hello guys, I was interested if someone could help me. I need a humbucker that is low/vintage or medium output in the bridge position, that sounds very articulate, smooth and clean when playing chords, even with overdrive. However, I don't want a true single coilish sound (I have my Strat for that!). Also, I would like to have a pickup that cuts through the mix nicely and that sound doesn't get lost when playing leads, like a really raw, nassaly aggresive sounding in the upper midrange.

If you know a humbucker that sounds like this, please recommend. The pickup should go into an old Epiphone Explorer, and I will use it to play in my acid rock band.

Another one I like that is articulate and has that nasal ly upper mids, but a little higher out put, is the DMZ Gravity Storm.

Had an early 90's Explorer with a Jazz bridge in the neck and a SD in the bridge. The pickups went with the guitar when I sold it so I cant pull it out and play before I answer. And yet I still have some great memories of the guitar and seems to me the SD is what you are describing.

I fully endorse the Screamin Demon recommendation if you are playing through a loud amp.

You will get different results at practice levels by yourself though. Don't let that scare you away.
