in urgent need of wiring help!

Hi,

I have an Ibanez RGA32 that I'm trying to put back together. It has active LZ3 Pickups, but they have 4 conductors. I couldnt find any wiring scheme. The green goes to the switch, so I'm assuming its the output. The red appears to go to the battery, the bare is obviously ground but what are the other white and black wires for? (I tried connecting them to each other like a passive, but that doesnt work either) When I plug the guitar in right now, I hear nothing, when I touch ground with the white and black it crackles a bit. The Green, Red and Bare are soldered where I assume them to belong. When nothing was solderered yet, I could touch things to make noises (like touching the end of the cable) but that is gone with 3 wires soldered on.

any ideas or pointers? I searched everywhere.

thank you!

hi hank! thank you so much. It helps a lot. I still dont know what the white is, its supposed to be together with the white from the other pickup but right now I'm just using one humbucker, any idea where to wire it? Negative on the battery didnt work

I'm not familiar with wiring active pickups. What happens if the white wire is left alone unconnected? If it works then tape it off & your done.

It didnt work sadly. I wired in the other pickup again and now everything works. Kinda weird why Ibanez puts 4/5 conductors on actives, sure as hell confusing. but all good now, thanks for the link, helped me a lot during rewiring.
