Got a chance to buy 2 Seymour Duncan vintage hot rails. for $10 each. At first seller did not know what they are. Then he came back and said confirmed that they were Seymour Duncans. Did They ever make pickups without the Seymour Duncan name on them?

Welcome to the forum.

Yes, early SD Hot and Cool Rails pickups came without the pad printed logo on the top. The pickups that you have been offered could have model ID stickers on their undersides.

It is not possible to answer any more fully without photographs of the pickups.

Re: Indentity of vintage hot rails.

Thanks. That helps me. The photo was not very good and only of the top. The stickers could have fallen off the bottom I suppose.
