Inexpensive power supplies (no daisy chains)

I'm looking for a cost-effective alternative to the 1Spot since I don't much care for daisy chain cables. Anyone have experience with the Signalflex PS9 or any other suggestions?

FWIW I had a disappointing experience (hummmm) with a Dunlop brick.

Re: Inexpensive power supplies (no daisy chains)

Oh man.

I have a dc brick with the same issues too. This explains things... I have a permanent hum when I put my chorus in the loop. And I have a different kind of hum when I use my Line 6 delay with it... too bad...

So I second that...

Help us out guys!

My Signalflex worked great... for about a year, then it just crapped out one day.

IMHO $170 is a cost effective way to power your pedals with the PPII from Voodoo. That's just me though. Maybe if you gave it a sot you would soon see why it's the best!!

Uh, I think I know a thing or two about the value of quality power supplies. I have a Juicebox on my primary pedal board. The PP2 is, to some degree, a cheaper imitation of the JB. :reporter:

I'm putting together a small, relatively inexpensive, grab 'n go pedalboard and don't feel like dropping a bundle on a power supply that'll power a few Boss pedals. I'd deal with daisy chain cables and get a 1Spot before dropping that kind of coin on a PS for this board.

Re: Inexpensive power supplies (no daisy chains)

i'm doing the same thing now (a second small "grab and go" pedal board) and i'm thinking about using this new setup from gator since it comes with the board, a case and a power supply all for $100

no idea how good it is since it's brand new on the market but i figure it's worth a shot for the low price since it won't be my main board.

oh and i run my main board off a 1 spot...what don't you like about it? i've never had a problem with it.

I was thinking about that but then got a screamin' deal on a Pedaltrain Jr so I only need a PS. The Gator PS isn't too pricey at $70, though.

As for the 1Spot, I just don't like daisy chain cables. I have a feeling that $$$ will win out and I'll live with the daisy. :oo
