(inexpensive) tele body advice -- triple P90

Yes, I could get a swimming pool routed Strat, and save a lot of heartache.

And yes, it's probably been discussed here before (I haven't done a search, but that's a safe bet).

I've got a set of SD Stack P90s looking for a good home. One volume, one tone, 5-way switch, hardtail bridge, easy peasy.

A bluesy, rocking machine.

Where do I go for a decent price, and not a lot of arm-wrestling?

What do you call a decent price?

Perhaps a used Squier solid wood body, and rout it yourself. Then you save yourself invaluable time and money finishing the thing too.

I was thinking a Squier or some knockoff brand. I'd have to cut the pickguard, rout it, and get an F-spaced hardtail without the bridge pickup. Maybe a local luthier can fill in the bridge cavity.

No need to fill the vibrato. Just deck the thing by removing the springs and wedging a block of wood in there. Or just load it up with five springs and crank them down.
