Installation Problem for JB

Hey guys, I just installed a JB in the bridge and I'm having a problem. I have the volume knob all the way at 10 and I can barely hear the sound through the amp. I previously installed a duncan distortion without a problem so I'm sure the wiring is correct. Am I having a problem with the pot? I'd like to also note that when I keep adjusting the volume knob, at some points, the sound completely cuts off. But when I do hear it, it's weak.

I've had problems like this and one time it was because of the pot (i could waddle it around (take the knob off) and sometimes i could get full volume, i replaced the pot and it works excellent now.. also check the input jack, make sure the curved metal part of the input jack goes into the neck of the input jack.. otherwise.. it could be bare wire on the input jack touching one of the various parts of metal on the input jack
