Installing a Nickel Cover

Hi all, I have a Hades Gates in double black. How easy/difficult/complicated is it to put a nickel cover on it? Do I have to get into all that wax stuff and all?

No but measure the spacing for the screw poles as they will pass thru and you want a cover with the proper spacing

When you go to install it
Put a bit of blue painters tape over the slug coils
If they touch the cover it will make noise

On mine I just shove them on without removing the pickups
They wedge on just fine

There are some sure to post that you most solder them to the base plate for grounding
But I haven't had trouble with that at all
